Frequently Asked Questions

What is d-Limonene?

d-Limonene is the major component of the oil extracted from the citrus rind. When the citrus fruits are juiced , the oil is pressed out of the rind. This oil is separated from the juice , and distilled to recover certain flavor and fragrance compounds. The bulk of the oil is left behind and collected. This is food grade d-Limonene. After the juicing process , the peels are conveyed to a steam extractor. This extracts more of the oil from the peel. When the steam is condensed a layer of oil floats on the surface of the condensed water. This is technical grade d-Limonene.

Sudsing  Action

Why our shampoo doesn't suds and foam as conventional shampoo does. A lot of suds does not mean that a lot of cleaning is being done , it means that a lot of suds are being made. It makes the shampoo so much easier to rinse out and we do not believe in putting extra ingredients in the shampoo that is not needed. All of the sudsing doesn't do a better cleaning job , it is just a sales gimmick.
If you want to see a lot of suds and REALLY do a nice cleaning job , shampoo your pet a second time. You will use much less shampoo the second time and you will have all the suds that you could ever want. The second shampooing does a really deep cleaning and conditioning of the fur and skin. In each case leave the shampoo on for at least five minutes so that the CITRUS can do it's cleaning and conditioning work. The first shampooing removes the worst of the dirt and grime. The second shampooing does a very DEEP CLEANING and CONDITIONING.

Dish  Soap :

It has come to our attention that one of the " MAJOR CAUSES  OF DRY SKIN "  on pets is the use of dish soap instead of pet shampoo. Dish soap does a great job of removing grease and grime from dishes ( that is why they call it DISH SOAP ) It strips the natural oils from your pets skin and hair. This drys out the skin and from there other bad things happen. You take your pet to the vet and some times a lot of EXPENSIVE TESTING is done and the causes is never really determined. And it all starts with the use of dish soap. Some times when some one else besides you shampoos your pet dish soap is used with out your knowledge. If some one else besides you shampoos your pet take your own shampoo and have them use it so that you know what is used on your " BEST  FRIEND "

Skunk Spray and other Such Odors :

If your pet has been sprayed by a skunk or rolled in some thing that leaves a " BAD SMELL " on them apply our citrus dip and leave it on for at least 5 - 10 minutes and then rinse it off. Then shampoo with our citrus shampoo and leave that on for 5 - 10 minutes before rinsing it off. In severe cases it may be necessary to repeat the procedure. The citrus neutralizes the odors.

Discount  Volume  Buying :

The discount buying can be an assortment of products , they don't have to be the same item. But , they do have to be from the same section. We encourage this volume buying because it saves shipping and handling. If a group of people join together they save money by purchasing a larger amount as a group and can divide the savings between them. The more you buy the lower the price goes per item.
